Resizing Rows and Columns

Tabulation columns and rows are displayed in their default size. You can resize these areas by defining a specific row height or column width, or you can change the width or height to automatically fit the contents.

Sizing Rows

Set row height

  1. Select the required rows.
  2. From the Tabulate ribbon, click Resize Cells > Row Height (red box).
  3. Specify the row height in the column width box.
  4. Click OK.

AutoFit row to contents

  1. Select the required columns.
  2. From the Tabulate ribbon, click Resize Cells > AutoFit Row Height (blue box)

Drag row height

To change the height of one row, drag the boundary below the row heading until the row is the height that you want.

To change the height of multiple rows, select the rows that you want to change, and then drag the below any row heading to the height that you want.

Set default column width

  1. Select the required columns
  2. From the Tabulate ribbon, click Resize Cells > Default Width (green box).

Set column width

  1. Select the required columns.
  2. From the Tabulate ribbon, click Resize Cells > Column Width (orange box).
  3. Specify the column width in the column width box.
  4. Click OK.

AutoFit column to contents

  1. Select the required columns.
  2. From the Tabulate ribbon, click Resize Cells > AutoFit Column Width (yellow box).

Drag column width

To change the width of one column, drag the boundary to the right of the column heading until the column is the width that you want.

To change the width of multiple columns, select the columns that you want to change, and then drag a boundary to the right of a selected column heading.
